Monday: Peter Kirk Park

We took a break from the city and strolled around Downtown Kirkland, including the serene Peter Kirk Park.

Weather felt blissful, and so did we.

Tuesday: Wind Storm

Heavy wind storm shook the Pudget Sound, leaving thousands out of power. This occurs often during Seattle winters.

Luckily, we escaped power outage but found ourselves stranded at home, with crayons, yogurt and coffee.

Wednesday: Central Public Library

Finally, sunshine! thumbs up And off we went to Central Seattle Public Library, in the heart of Downtown. The building has unique architecture; and the facility offers free amenities like multimedia rooms, theatre, toddler play space and cafe.

We spent an entire day there, and never felt bored.

Thursday: Ice-Cream and shopping at U Village

Near the University of Washington campus is an outdoor shopping center named U Village that offers both local and national stores and restaurants, including Seattle’s own, Molly Moon’s Handmade Ice-cream.

Friday: Sweet Treats at Cupcake Royal

Another Seattle-based dessert company is Cupcake Royal, which started in 2003 as “Seattle’s first cupcake bakery and cafe.”

To honor the store’s Seattleite essence, we visited its Downtown location. The cakes were, literally, heavenly!

Saturday: Fifth Ave Downtown

Looking for a pretty scene? A walk down 5th Ave should suffice.

Sunday: Boot-Shopping

Fall 2015’s all about short boots. Get the latest style without break bank at Westlake’s Nordstrom Rack–the best rack in town. winking-face
